Katrina's Flood and subsequent relocations

What's happened in New Orleans seems to get larger and larger by the day. The Washington Post reports that one million people could be out of their homes for months.

I've only visited New Orleans once, but it seems like there is a huge job ahead to get everything and everyone back home and back to normal. I think most of have forgotten how quickly things can go bad in the event of a natural disaster. We've been pretty lucky out here in earthquake country.
